Christmas is the most colorful and cheerful festival and I have a lot of beautiful memories of Christmas.As I studied in a Christian school our school celebrated the festival with full zeal and excitement and we used to enjoy this part of the year the most.
In our school one day before Christmas, we were allowed to wear our favorite dresses which happens very rarely as it was the most disciplined school.I used to wear my favorite dress and students arranged the DJ for the classrooms we used to dance like crazy during this day with friends.
We were told to make one best dish for the whole class and all the delicacies were kept together and we used to enjoy them together. We sometimes had a Christmas carnival where everyone was invited and we used to distribute tickets to our neighbors inviting them to visit our school.
As I grew old and got busy with studies and careers, the way of celebration started to change. In college, I used to go with friends to visit the church, eat cakes and pastries together or go with the family to celebrate the festival together.
In our neighbors, people used to sing Christmas carols and visit each other houses kids running after Santa and I always used to wonder why Santa was not coming to my house and giving me sweets.
Things have changed a lot over the years now I don’t go to any parties, but always miss this time of the year.
My Christmas Celebration 2024 in the most simple ways
Feeding my street dogs and cows coming to my house every day without fail is nothing less than a celebration to me, they have glitter in their eyes which I love the most and it’s the best part to start my day.
Chilling in the cafe alone
One of My favorite things to do is to have coffee at some cute cafe and especially on this day cafes are decorated with Christmas trees and gifts having coffee with this amazing vibe and reading a book is the best part.
Visiting the vibrant markets
Every market in Delhi is beautifully decorated with Christmas trees, lights, and frill which reminds me of memories of when my father used to take us out to celebrate Christmas eating burgers and pizzas together those days can never come back but we can still visit the beautiful places to cheer us up.
I Don’t like parties
So my mom prepared Maggie and tea and we both enjoyed unlimited talks watched movies together and enjoyed our time together chilling at home away from hassle.
I know it’s way more boring compared to childhood celebrations and memories with school friends dancing like crazy, parents taking us out and without any tension, we used to chill have whatever we demanded without even thinking about our parents’ pocket, watch movies together.
Adulting is a little bit of chilling alone for me, as I enjoy chilling alone compared to going to parties where I am only pretending to be happy.
According to me, real happiness is finding a shimmer in the eyes of street dogs and cows playing in the streets coming every day to my house, and chilling with parents and family.
A simple celebration is way more uplifting to me compared to a celebration where I am just acting happy.
