Born and brought up in Delhi during my college days I always used to visit Trade Fair with my family and friends and have beautiful memories of visiting Trade Fair every year.
Countries all over the world including different states of India all come together and showcase their products, culture, and traditions in unique ways.
I always enjoyed with my friends shopping beautiful handmade products and trying different cuisines from different stalls and some snacks🥘 were made live at different counters which we can try for free👍.
Walking a lot from one hall to another was always a fun experience. When we felt tired, we used to try massage chairs that were kept for sale, and we used to show them that we would buy them all, which were some fun memories🙂 .
But as I grew old and started working I used to miss the fair and continue with the daily routine🏃♀️ not able to take leave from the office🙍 and always used to miss these fun-filled fairs.
This time also I was reading the advertisement in the newspaper and was ignoring it, almost going to miss this one also but at the second last day of the fair I decided to go alone no matter if my friends and family were busy or not, I will not miss this time as I was very curious to see new Bharat mandapam build in Delhi.
I took a bus got down on the stand of the Supreme Court and took a rickshaw then I realized I had not booked my ticket online and was not carrying it offline🙆♀️.
Tickets were available in some metro stations if I had taken the metro but then I am like that one who will plan to go somewhere at the last minute without proper planning.
As my phone was having some problems and only 3 %battery was left I reached the trade fair gate and asked someone to book my ticket online but she refused. Then I took a chance to download the app and was successfully able to book the tickets at the gate with 2% battery as there is a famous saying when there is will there is a way✌️.
Booking online ticket is the best option according to me to avoid queue.
As I entered the fair all my childhood memories were recalled and I started recalling all my friends and how fast time passed by only.
People from different places have come with their family visiting different halls, as everywhere huge boards were there guiding the direction of the hall no and the name of the state.
You can easily decide which state you will go to first.
I choose the International Hall first
Different countries of the world have come to showcase the specialty, their unique culture, and cuisine and I was stunned to see the most unique and beautiful items from different parts of the world.
Beautiful lamps, home decor, best innovative kitchen appliances will prove so helpful in your kitchen and they will show you how to use the particular products their benefits, and how they can make your life easy and comfortable.
You will meet amazing people😍 from different parts of the country and will experience the way they invite warmly to their stalls and patiently describe their products.
A special variety of Healthy dry fruit from the international hall was fantastic, and their unique jewelry and apparel at a discounted price was incredible.
Then I headed toward the hall of Indian states
Different halls of different states were interconnected to each other.
Beautiful entry gates were made before every state denoting the culture of that particular state and people were dancing to their traditional songs, I missed taking photos as the phone was switched off.
I was amazed to see how much talent, beautiful culture, and tradition every state of India offers. There is still so much to learn from my own country.
The most unique, useful, and eco-friendly items local villagers and artists make in my own country to earn a livelihood that will not harm the environment.
Beautiful handmade mattresses, colorful bangles, and traditional apparel of Rajasthan, amazing Gujarati dress skirts, handmade jewelry, pashmina shawl of Kashmir, and the best part was talking to energetic people of my country from places I had never visited before.
I saw some interesting handmade skincare from Kerela made with an Ayurvedic formula which was chemical-free.
Cold-pressed oils, and utensils made with mud from Haryana can never harm you and have amazing benefits.
Bamboo baskets, and beautiful bags made by the parts of the North East, Himachal, and many mountain areas bring their medicinal rich herbs and haldi powder with medicinal properties made with organic ways without chemicals.
Many states like Orissa and northeast states promote tourism and inform about their unique and untouched beautiful places by distributing pamphlets with beautiful smiles☺️.
Beautiful products made with bamboo and jute and products looked so beautiful for eg bags, plates, and cups which are environment friendly, amazed me in many ways.
One hall was full of multi-purpose products and processed foods
There was live cooking done everywhere around and people in Delhi are so excited about food that they just stick to their favorite counter the moment people finish cooking they can grab the product to taste 😅 .
Even I tried some unique delicacies for free 😊like veg seekh kebab and veg soya bhuji from Vezlay.
After that, I tried Hot soups and masala paratha which I enjoyed😍 a lot while walking.
Every state has come up with its famous delicacies like sweets, chaats, and Thalis which you can try while walking in any state or country.
Food Court to try delicious cuisines
There were so many food courts available outside the halls also and many seats and tables were arranged where you can sit and enjoy amazing delicacies.
Many people were mostly enjoying the favorite food of Delhi which is chole Bhature and also chaat, and amazing thali combos with their families and friends.
I also ordered my favorite Rajma Chawal and Chai sat on the ground near the stall where many people were chilling and relaxing after a long walk, I enjoyed my meal a lot and gave a little break to my legs.
2 women were sitting near me who brought home-cooked rice and chicken and were busy talking to each other and enjoying their meal with hands without any spoon at that point I missed my friends and realized to enjoy every moment in life without worry.
Looking around and enjoying my chai watching the beautiful fountain little water splashing on me and 3 cute beautiful sister playing and enjoying ice cream I enjoyed myself so much alone.
Trade Fair was super clean and hygienic
The place was neat and clean and washrooms were cleaned at regular intervals which I doubted before coming here.
Every hall had at least 2 washrooms and was clean and hygienic.
Drinking water was also available at many places where I used to refill my water bottles.
You will be able to find Chai☕, Coffee, and snacks almost everywhere whenever you feel lethargic.
Facilities available for senior citizens and disabled
There were counters available to book wheelchairs, and rickshaws that would take you to a particular hall.
Many rickshaws and open autos were available for the people who were finding it difficult to walk around was the best.
I found this to be super helpful and convenient for people who have some health issues can also come and enjoy the event.
Listening to the amazing band 📯
It was the first time I listened to such an amazing instrument and super excited to share my happiness.
There was some award event about to happen when I was relaxing near the fountain and one band was practicing beautiful songs for the event and listening🎶 to these amazing instruments for the first time, I was overwhelmed and felt so happy coming and enjoying this amazing talent of my country.
